Our team consists of faculty with diversity and inclusion-related administrative positions with extensive records of programming, grants and publications related to diversity in higher education and faculty professional development.
Dr. Rebecca Lewison is a Professor of Biology at SDSU with both personal and professional experience in the development of new models that support women and URM faculty success at SDSU and across the CSU and UC systems.
Dr. John Crockett is the Associate Vice President for Research Advancement at SDSU. He has been Co-PI on several equity and justice related programs, including prior Advance programs, and NSF Geosciences Opportunities in Leadership Development (GOLD) programs.
Dr. Christy Dykstra is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering at SDSU and is a mentor for female and URM students in engineering and is part of SDSU’s Women in Engineering faculty group.
Avesta Baraki (she/her/hers) is the MCTEN SDSU Program Coordinator. In 2020, she graduated from the University of San Diego with a Master’s in International Relations. Her research examines women’s empowerment and security in the Middle East.
